About Suzanne Theis
I am originally from Louisiana, but as they say...I got to Texas as fast as I could. Two of my aunts are artists and their beautiful paintings have been an inspiration to me. I have attended classes at the Art Institute of Houston, but am mostly a self-taught artist. Hope that you enjoy my work!

You're very welcome, Suzanne-- the composition (particularly the angle of the prickly pear) and colors you chose just say West Texas desert beauty. The reds you used to hint at the surrounding tobosa or buffalo grasses add a nice touch. While I was looking at the painting, the cactus fruits made me think of brightly painted cups sitting on top of the pads, just telling Mother Nature: I'm going to catch every last drop of rain that you have to give.
Suzanne Theis replied:
WOW! Louis...Your description captured everything that I wanted to express and MORE! Many, many thanks!
